To obtain a position as a news or feature writer or photojournalist in print or broadcast media. In the Ark-La- Tex area. To gain experience in the field of Mass Communication while finishing my Bachelor’s degree at Texas A&M- Texarkana.

Actively worked on the student newspaper at Texarkana College as a reporter, layout and design, and photographer. Fulfilled a summer internship at the Texarkana Gazette as copy editor/page designer. Currently holding two positions in print media. Placed first at the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association (TIPA) conference for feature writing and third for page design in 2004. Won 15 individual awards and two staff awards at the TIPA conference in 2005 setting a record for the most awards won by an individual. Was elected TIPA president for the student board in 2005. Currently serving as vice president for the Mass Communication Club at Texas A&M.
